The University of Portsmouth offers various accommodation options for incoming students. There are also a number of hotels and student lodges available in the city area.
Hotels and Accommodation
Visitors who intend to stay overnight or for a few days only are advised to book accommodation in advance because airport hotels are full most of the time. They can book in advance at the Florence House Hotel, which is a small boutique hotel located just off Southsea seafront.
A more affordable option is the Express by Holiday Inn conveniently located in the city centre where trains, buses, and ferries can be easily accessed. It has 130 en-suite bedrooms with Internet access and coffee making services.
The Queen's Hotel offers single rooms and double rooms with sea view. Each of its en-suite rooms has coffee and tea service and television. It is located on Clarence Parade in Southsea.
Student Accommodation
The 'student village' in the Langstone campus provides accommodation for a total of 570 students. Its three halls of residence are Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother (QEQM), Trust, and Langstone Flats. The QEQM and Langstone Flats have ensuite bathrooms.
The Guildhall campus has a number of student residence halls including James Watson House with 726 ensuite rooms, Trafalgar Hall with 288 ensuite rooms, and Margaret Rule Hall with 342 ensuite rooms.
